Sacred Series | Sacred Grief

Not everything we grieve is a death.

We grieve relationships, dreams, lost time, changing identities, unmet needs, old versions of ourselves, faith, seasons of motherhood, things we never received, and lives that didn’t unfold the way we imagined. Sometimes the loss is obvious. Sometimes we don’t even realize we’re grieving because no one ever told us the thing we lost was something we were allowed to grieve.

And in a culture that loves closure, acceptance, and moving on, it can be easy to rush ourselves past what still deserves to be acknowledged.

Sacred Grief is a women’s circle for making room for what mattered enough to hurt. Not so we can get rid of grief or leave it behind, but so we can stop requiring ourselves to be finished with something before we’ve really honored it.

Together we’ll explore: What deserves to be grieved? What have I been trying to move past too quickly? What mattered?

There is no right way to grieve and no expectation that your grief look a certain way. You don’t have to cry, tell your whole story, or explain why something mattered as much as it did.

Sacred Grief is part of The Sacred Series: Rage, Grief, Shame & Freedom. Each gathering is a complete experience on its own, so you’re welcome to attend whether or not you came to Sacred Rage. Attend multiple circles and you’ll experience a deeper thread building from one gathering to the next.

Nothing is missing if this is where you begin.
